Abstract：Public spaces in old communities play a crucial role in the daily lives of residents and hold significant value for promoting community renewal. Scene creation, as an innovative approach to community revitalization, aims to enhance the quality of community life by improving the physical environment and exploring the cultural value to foster community vitality. This research focuses on analyzing the challenges of community renewal in old neighborhoods, examining the interplay of scene composition elements, and presenting strategies and methods for enhancing public spaces in the community based on scene creation. It extends its findings by incorporating the experience of updating the Baimadang District in Chongqing, providing valuable insights and approaches for rejuvenating public spaces in old communities across China.
