Abstract：The reuse of waste wood constitutes a vital component of the circular economy. This paper first clarifies the positive role of waste wood recycling in architectural design, while specifying the acquisition methods and reuse principles of waste wood. Then, three typical categories of waste wood are selected as representatives, and through practical analysis and design deduction, the study explores reuse-oriented design strategies and techniques based on the characteristics of different waste wood types. The aim of this study is to explore the application potential of waste wood as an architectural creation element, and to transform it into a viable building resource from a design perspective, thereby contributing to the advancement of waste wood reuse in the field of architecture design in China.
