Abstract：In the context of rapid settlement development in grassland regions, the current situation is characterized by the incompatibility between transplanted residential models and local environmental conditions, fragile ecosystems, and local ethnic cultural heritage. This study aims to integrate“new elements”into the morphological development of grassland pastoral residences through modular construction methods, endowing the modular system with site-specific connotations through a regional construction logic. It further seeks to systematically construct modular design and construction methods for grassland pastoral residences, thereby enabling the spontaneous evolution and sustainable development of the grassland pastoral residential system. Starting from the geometric configuration of traditional pastoral living spaces, this research explores the process of reconstructing spatial order under different transformation rules. Next, by coupling construction modules, a systematic cognitive matrix framework for module composition is established. Finally, based on empirical cases, the study discusses the localized transformation of ideal models into new pastoral residence types under the constraints of regional conditions.
