Abstract:Driven by the concept of low-carbon construction, integrated bamboo is increasingly becoming a key material choice in the building market. However, its current application still faces challenges such as insufficient utilization of material properties and limited compatibility with structural systems. Through design and construction experiments on demonstration projects, this study focuses on three major technical approaches: optimizing the cross-sectional design of small-section integrated bamboo elements to enhance mechanical efficiency; establishing a prefabricated assembly system with standardized metal connections to improve structural adaptability; and developing modular bamboo-wood wall and floor systems to increase installation efficiency and construction quality. The research aims to develop a sustainable construction system based on prefabricated assembly techniques that is tailored to the inherent properties of integrated bamboo, thereby facilitating its sustainable application in low-carbon building practices.
