Abstract:Spatial factors play a significant role in informal learning. Based on the definition of informal learning spaces and related case studies of such spaces, combined with the actual project cases of People’s Architecture Office since 2018, this paper proposes five design strategies for establishing informal learning spaces, namely: “Plugin and Ad-Hoc Systems”, “Participatory Design”, “Circulation as Stimulant”, “Learning Landscape” and “Interactive Playscapes”. These strategies aim to form an integrated system to create fluid learning spaces, ensuring continuity between formal and informal learning spaces, thereby fostering continuous learning.
