Abstract:In the context of global climate change, it is crucial to achieve the “dual carbon” goals while ensuring the health, safety, and comfort of residents. This study focuses on the synergistic benefits of low-carbon and health in urban residential areas of Northeast China. First, it systematically reveals the logical relationship between low-carbon and health in residential areas through a comprehensive literature review. It specifically focuses on urban residential areas in Northeast China. By comparing the air quality and health indices in Northeast China with Euro-American countries, the study further confirms the positive health impact of low-carbon construction. It proposes that low-carbon construction in China will bring significant health benefits. Finally, by summarizing the experiences of major countries at comparable latitudes, the study provides practical and feasible strategies and suggestions for improving the synergistic benefits of low-carbon development and public health in the region.
