Abstract：In response to the new needs of urban and rural construction development in the new era, a mixed methodology of“grassroots unification”and“top-level leadership”is adopted, and six complex research processes are experienced. As a result, the dilemma of professional and academic talent development in architecture is presented. The key issues of the layered training of talents at the undergraduate-master-doctorate level, the customized training methods for professional and academic talents, the construction of faculty, and the interface of the registration system are proposed. Finally, after the conduction of field questionnaire and conference discussions, the idea of“academic system, degree and discipline”as the grip for the development of architectural talents is put forward, which will provide a reference for China’s architectural education reform.
