Abstract:Under today’s rapid evolution of the Chinese social reality, this paper puts forward several reflections on architectural education, including holistic and general education, professional boundaries and schooling, separation and integration of the first-level discipline of human settlement, the one-sided in-depth research and all-round comprehensive design, experience and research, industry boundary and the innovation of the educational system, educational reform and some important problems in today’s architectural education. It reveals the affections of the changing society towards the architectural education and attempts to discuss the future developing pathway of the Chinese architectural education.
