Abstract:We collect data through individualized in-depth interviews and group questionnaire surveys from the social action of graduation choice, and adopt the methods of rooted theory and multi-party verification to establish a professional identity framework for architectural graduates with phased characteristics. It finds that the professional cognition of graduates is composed of three main axis categories: architect's occupational technical characteristics, social responsibility and social status. Further category mining and correlation show that graduates' occupational cognition forms an unbalanced structure under the interaction of main categories and external tensions, which brings about the crisis of professional identity.
