Evaluation of Walking Comfort in Urban Historical District Based on Semantic Segmentation Coupled with Hierarchical Analysis: Case Study of Jiangjun Temple Historical District
Abstract:As an important part of the city's material cultural heritage, the walking comfort of urban historical districts is of great significance to the continuation of the city's historical lineage, the improvement of spatial quality, and the enhancement of life vitality. Therefore, this paper selects urban historic district as the research object. Based on the coupling of semantic segmentation and hierarchical analysis, through the integration of streetscape photo crawling, visual perception analysis and Kendall correlation analysis, we develop a framework for evaluating the walking comfort of urban historic districts in terms of the objective machine scoring and the subjective manual scoring. Taking the Jiangjun Temple Historical District as a case study, we compare the differences between manual and machine scoring through visual perception analysis, and identify the key factors affecting the walking visual comfort of the district using Kendall correlation analysis. This study objectively and quantitatively analyzes the environmental characteristics of walking spaces in urban historic districts, as well as the subjective perception preferences of their users. It provides new theoretical perspectives and methodological strategies for the protection and improvement of urban historic districts.
