Abstract:The quality of urban street space directly or indirectly affects the physical and mental health of citizens and the quality of travel. In this paper, we analyze and sort out the factors affecting the quality of street space, and construct a street space quality index system based on multiple sources of data such as streetscape and POI, which is safe to live, happy to work, smart to travel and interesting to visit. Then, through hierarchical analysis, we conduct a comparative study to evaluate the spatial quality of streets based on the content of the indicators. The comparison reveals that the most significant impact on the spatial quality of the streets is the series of indicators of“safe to live”, which provides insight into the future development of high-quality streets.
