Abstract:Through the review on the design practice and concepts of the office building of the Zhujiang Power Plant, this article illustrates a full set of design strategies suitable for the high-rise buildings located in hot-humid areas in South China. These from-inside-out passive design strategies include: layout pattern with side-setting core tube, climate space combination with “atrium+side courtyard”, and the sun-shading facade balancing insulation, ventilation and sight. From these three aspects, this article attempts to realize the core value of green building and explore climate adaptation for high-rise buildings through architectural design. Together with field measurement and digital simulation, it further verifies the effectiveness of the above.
