Abstract：This interview starts from some terms which Pascal Flammer emphasized in his design such as joy, curiosity, perception and empathy to make his consistent discussion on architectural values, which unfolds his unique understanding of important issues like architectural education, historical theory, Chinese contemporary architecture, spatial composition and relationship between architecture and nature. Finally he summarized the inner logic behind a series of designs, explained the great inspiration from former master architects and gave suggestions to students.
