Abstract:This paper takes Architectural Preservation Studio, a postgraduate course of Politecnico di Milano, Italy, as an example, introduces the concept objectives, organization forms, content arrangements, assessment standards and other aspects of this course in detail, and focuses on the identification of architectural heritage material decays, legend representation of material decays, restoration intervention diagnosis and testing, etc. this paper then makes a comparation between the Italian mode with the current situation of architectural heritage preservation education in China, and puts forward a number of important suggestions, including strengthening the basic learning and research of architectural heritage preservation, enhancing the degree of cross integration of relevant auxiliary disciplines, and improving the scientific and systematic degree of protection interventions, in order to provide more suggestions and reflections for the relevant professional courses of similar colleges and universities in China.
