Abstract：In the core studio designed for sophomore year at ETH by Prof. Dietmar Eberle,five architectural elements with different life spans are identified, in order to break down the architectural design as a complex problem. In the studio, students need to focus on specific design problems of different elements before designing the project as the whole, in order to feel time dimensions in architecture and learn to think about architecture from the perspective of the future.
