Research on Participatory Planning and Design Strategy in Conservation Area Joint Development based on Memory Place Representation: A Case Study of Puntong Village Micro-regeneration in Guangzhou
Abstract：It is essential to introduce community participation into urban regeneration. However, community participation requires innovative approaches in complex conditions, such as lack of continuous efforts or types of activities. This research reviews the whole cycle participatory process of Puntong Village micro-regeneration and discusses the benefits of the memory place representation and participatory planning and design strategy for stimulating culture identity, empowering community and achieving sustainable developments.
