Abstract:The rapid urban development brings challenges to the urban thermalenvironment. It is an important issue in the sustainable development to control the comfort and safety of the thermal environment. In this paper, the author collected relevant data of 7 residential areas in Foshan, and simulated their microclimate. Through simulation analysis, it was found that the group layout affects the shadow ratio of the site, thus affecting the heat island intensity in summer. Designers can use sunlight analysis software to assist the design, and on the premise of enough winter sunshine increase the shadow ratio in summer as much as possible so as to reduce the direct radiation heat and improve the micro climate.
