Abstract：This paper discusses how the architectural space could convey cultural connotation in the natural environment. Through the investigation of users’ spatial-temporal behavior, the organization logic of traditional garden and courtyard space is introduced to create the spatial pattern of garden from three aspects: spatial structure, spatial texture and spatial correlation. It also explores the inner mechanism of the formation of cultural identity through spatial cognition in the subject’s spatio-temporal behavior.
