Abstract:As China’s urbanization process shifts from incremental expansion to stock quality improvement, under the concept of “compact city”, it has become an important issue to construct rail transit network, optimize urban spatial layout, improve urban operation efficiency and promote healthy urban development. Rail transit hub station is an important node of urban traffic network. Comprehensive development around the hub station is the key to achieve compact urban development. Based on “spatial and temporal accessibility”, this paper expounds the relationship between ultra-high intensity development and saving the total time cost of the city and improving the development income of the core area, and puts forward the construction mode and urban design strategy of ultra-high intensity development of hub station core area. It provides reference for the development of ultra-high intensity in the core area of rail transit hub stations in large cities in China.
