Abstract:As an important part of high-density city, mixed-use super tall buildings, its connection modes with metro stations could significantly affect the integration degree and use efficiency of urban space. This paper summarizes the connection modes as three categories: “separated”, “connected” and “integrated”, and conducts multi-level statistics on the mixed-use super tall buildings cases with a height of more than 150 meters in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Through the correlation analyses at the macro data level, the selection and construction logics of different connection modes are investigated. By comparing the differences among three cities, this paper finally discusses the existing gaps and future directions of urban threedimensional space constructions in mainland China. In order to enhance the urban three-dimensional integrity and mobility, it is necessary to adopt the “connected” or “integrated” mode as far as possible in future, improve the efficiency and quality of the existing connecting spaces, as well as increase the publicity of the mixed-use super tall buildings, so as to realize the development goal of Compact City.
