Abstract：In recent years, the application of Space Syntax have increased rapidly in China. However, it seems that the users may ignore the many constraints of method in practice, resulting in unstable analysis results. In this sense, we conducted an experimental research from five dimensions: the uniqueness of the axis, the size of the analysis range, the shape of the analysis range, the deviation of the analysis range and the data within the analysis range degree. Through experiments, we attempted to summarize all consistency issues. Finally, we made several suggestions: to use software to generate axial line model and employ the segment analysis method in large urban scale and to carefully choose the study objective and areas, and specify the search radii. This research can help to increase awareness of practitioners and provide inspiration for theoretical researchers.
