Abstract：Sun Wu and Wen Zhengming Memorial Park in Xiangcheng District of Suzhou, built on the basis of Sun Wu and Wen Zhengming cemeteries, combines the design techniques of Jiangnan gardens and Western squares and integrates the cultures of the East and West into the site. The winding corridor of Jiangnan garden in the park, combined with the open layout of Western square, is the gene collision between the classical and the modern, and the straight lines also respond to the demand of modern landscape for simplicity. Considering the memorial nature of the cemetery and the daily needs of the public, it integrates the memorial quality and daily life into the site and has changed the solemn impression of the people towards the cemetery. It can not only carry out specific sacrificial activities, but also provide a place for citizens to have daily recreational activities. It is a multicultural and multi-functional urban park.
