From Community Building to Four-sector Alliance: A Discussion on the Development Trend of Japanese Community Building under the Context of Tokyo Olympic Games
Abstract：Based on the experience of Japan, this paper puts community building back into its evolution and examines its significance as a driving force of urbanization. First of all, this paper points out that community building is stepping into the advanced stage of territorial co-governance on the basis of clearly dividing its development pedigree into three stages. Secondly, starting from the realistic background of Japan's preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, this paper analyzes the specific method of “four-sector alliance” which connects the domains of populace, enterprise, authority and academia. Finally, based on analyzing the contemporary driving force of the “four-sector alliance”, this paper studies the enlightenment significance of territorial alliance in the process of community building for community development.
