A Study on the Component Elements and Evolutionary Mechanism of Chinese Traditional Village Landscape Heritage: Case Studies in the Southeast of Chongqing
Abstract：This paper looks at traditional rural landscapes in China, and based on the connotation of the rural landscape heritage and its diversity, clarifies the landscape component clues of human, events, locations, and objects. It establishes the analytical framework of traditional village, namely landscape component, influence factor, and landscape carrier, and reveals the evolutionary mechanism of rural landscape as from site selection and settling down, production and construction, to its mature or decline. It provides a reasonable clue for the understanding of component elements and historical evolution of rural landscapes, and also a direction for the overall and comprehensive analysis of rural landscape composition and the effective formulation of protection measures.
