Abstract:Since 2000, architects have been widely involved in rural construction practice, and the scenario of rural architectural design has been increasingly diversified, which can be roughly divided into three different ways of intervention. Architects’ rural architectural design has promoted the spread of modern technology and aesthetic paradigm in rural areas, but also spawned new contradictions and puzzles. How to systematically and professionally recognize, study and construct rural areas has become an urgent problem for architectural education to solve. This paper intends to explain the confusion of architects in the process of rural development and the response needed for contemporary architectural education from the five aspects of scientific, ideological, comprehensive, research and practical aspects of contemporary rural architectural education.
