Abstract:The design firstly defines the bridge’s spatial relations with the school’s main entrance and urban roads, then develops a Y-shape site plan. The collaboration with structural engineer enables the architectural space of the bridge to integrate with its structural form and present a strong presence. Yet the relations between architecture and structure is blurred by spatial composition in a way that the former’s sense of space and place is shared by the latter.
