Abstract:With the development of engineering consulting services in a comprehensive, cross-stage and integrated direction, the stage that architects should be involved in has been extended from the design phase to the entire construction process. Architectural programming and Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) has gradually become an important part of the whole process consulting business. This article looks at the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) Gymnasium (formerly Judo & Taekwondo Venue of 2008 Beijing Olympics Games), through interviews, questionnaires, focus group interviews and other means examines how the project meets audience needs and accomplishes planning goals, and summarizes the significance and advantages of the programming and evaluation on built environment process.
