Abstract：Architectural sociology and architectural anthropology are two emerging fields of interdisciplinary research in architecture. Both of them study the relationship between architecture, society and human beings. They have similar concepts and are often confusing. Based on the analysis of architectural sociology and architectural anthropology and the comparison of their research characteristics, this study concludes that architectural sociology and architectural anthropology are more inclined to a research paradigm in the context of contemporary research, and there are differences and certain compatibility between them.
