Abstract：Mecanoo Architecten in the Netherlands, being unique among world architects with its pragmatic, innovative and meticulous design attitude, has been considered as a model for designing ideal buildings. Mecanoo, holding the design philosophy of“attitude representing style and designing with strategies of composition, contrast and complexity”, presents ideal buildings with varied vocabularies. This paper sorts out and analyzes the varied vocabularies to promote architects to consider the big gap between“built ideas”and “ideal buildings”and how to establish an“ideal buildings”.
