Abstract:With the implementation of “rural vitalization strategy”, rural construction continues to be a topic with great concern. Taking the public space construction project of the Sanhe Village in Shapingba District, Chongqing as an example, this paper attempts to explore an integrated approach which is different from the traditional rural construction model and not confined to the architecture itself. Through in-depth investigation of local natural, social and economic conditions, and considering stakeholders’ demands and available resources, architects rely on the “three rights separation” reform to take multiple measures, which include industrial convergence, business planning, coordinated participation, space empowerment, management guidance, publicity etc., and attempt to build several versatile public space nodes by means of micro-renewal. It is intended to stimulate the rural endogenous power, and then promote the overall coordinated development of the whole village.
