Abstract:The history of China’s social change in the past forty years is a process of increasing change of old ideas, productivity and production relations, and the old built environment. It is also a process of producing new space. Everyday life in the new space is plunged into various difficult situations where the crisis of capital accumulation is the original crisis. Unbalanced development in various levels of space has become the main contradiction of society in the new era. Everyday life is the reflection of the overall situation in the individual, but it is mainly affected by the associated matrix of the spatial distribution of resources, labor pricing, housing, public space, and identity. Changes in any one of the basic factors will affect the quality and state of everyday life. High imbalance is a huge social crisis, which may cause largescale social unrest at any time through small social frictions. All public policies to deal with the crisis will change the production of everyday space and influence the space-time trajectory of everyday life.
