Abstract：This research is based on the understanding of human’ s gender differences, with Tongjing Park in Suzhou as the research object. It uses the methods of action observation,behavior note and questionnaire to conduct field survey in order to explore the gender differences of visitors’ space distribution in urban parks. This paper concludes that the external characteristics and inherent characteristics of women’ s spatial distribution pattern in urban parks are uniform, and there is no clear and unified relationship between the external characteristics and inherent characteristics of men’ s space distribution in urban parks, namely a state of chaos.Based on these differences, the paper puts forward optimization strategies of the design of spaces
