Abstract：Ageing-in-place is an inevitable trend which is conducive to the development of the rural elderly care facilities, and it is crucial to build a positive correlation between rural elderly and facilities. This study selects representative cases of “home-based” and “concentratedliving” type for field investigation, and analyzes the spatial status based on behavioral observation to examine the specific gap between rural elderly care facilities and local areas. The convergence of behavior trajectory in public space is an important catalyst for the revitalization of the rural elderly care facilities, and design optimization strategies are put forward to improve the spatial quality.
