Abstract:Urban transport complex is a cohesive engine that drives the compact development of cities, and its vertical spatial organization pattern which includes multiple traffic connections and multi-functional integration is an important way to achieve the stations and urban integrative development. First, based on the perspective of spatial topological relations, this paper studies the development and evolution of the vertical dimension of the urban transport complex. Meanwhile, taking typical domestic hub stations as an example, this paper compares the spatial connection and topological network structure of transport complex through the analysis of convex spatial topological relation in syntax theory. Besides, it discusses the associated impacts between the organization of each functional space and accessibility, so as to clarify the key characteristics of open waiting room as the spatial organization center in the transport complex. Finally, it puts forward suggestions to explore the potential values of the coupled development between transportation architecture and vertical cities, which help to provide reference for the coordination of cities, transport and architecture.
