Abstract:Earthen architecture has a long history in China’s rural construction, but it is gradually marginalized due to its low durability. Based on a series of practical cases, such as Anji Soil School, Ningxia Zhongwei Home Stay center and Sichuan Dayi Art Center, this paper explores the improvement strategies of traditional soil technology from the aspects of proportion improvement, texture improvement, performance optimization and cost control. Results show that the application of modified raw soil technology in rural construction can not only satisfy the functional requirements of a variety of building types, such as office, home stay facility and classroom, but also has the advantages of strong regional characteristics, high space comfort, and energy saving and environmental protection. It is of important significance for rural revitalization, inheriting local characteristics and improving the ecological environment.
