Abstract：Cultural property and physical environment are important parts of current rural residential construction, and it is always difficult to achieve an ideal relationship model of harmonization in the longterm exploration of architectural theory and practice. From the dual perspectives of culture property and physical environment, this article investigates the eave space of the traditional dwellings in central Jiangxi, discusses its inherent regional cultural characteristics and environment adaptability wisdom through three aspects: spatial form, detailed structure and overall layout, and analyzes the harmonization mechanism between them. Finally, it summarizes and foresees the way in which we should inherit this harmonization mechanism.
