Abstract：In the era of traditional commercial guild, the merchants were allied by blood, geography or industry to settle down, which promoted the prosperity of a large number of market-town settlements. The market-town of commercial guilds were widely distributed, with different scales and spatial forms. However, as a settlement type with prominent self-organization characteristics, it reflected the endogenous logic and internal order of commercial guild organizations, and was the projection of traditional commercial culture and social relations in material space. With the development of the times, a large number of traditional markettowns have borne the brunt in the process of urban development due to the advantages of transportation and location. They have basic protection problems such as broken historical features, scattered heritage distribution and fuzzy spatial structure. This paper looks at Parrot Continent market-town, analyzes its spatial evolution and morphological characteristics from the perspective of commercial groups, in order to provide beneficial enlightenment for the study of traditional market-town spaces.
