Abstract：Citylab is a platform for building and sharing knowledge within the field of sustainable urban development. Initiated by Sweden Green Building Council (SGBC), Citylab consists of Citylab Action and Citylab Network. This paper focuses on introducing the Citylab Action Guide, which provides whole process consultation, guidance and assessment for the projects of sustainable urban development. As a Citylab consultation project, Campus Albano in Stockholm carries out the idea and strategy of Social-Ecological Urbanism. Taking Citylab Action Guide as the guideline, collaborating with SGBC and other 4 institutes, the School of Architecture, Southeast University conducted a research and teaching workshop on the sustainable renovation of 5 blocks in the historic inner city of Changzhou Tianning, aiming at pursuing sustainable evolving approaches of the New-type Urbanization in contemporary China.
