The Practice and Reflection of Space Construction Teaching: Basic Teaching Course Design of Architecture in Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology
Abstract：Construction of physical space is currently a hot topic in architecture education at home and abroad. However, it has been a long time that the attempts to build physical space have taken the form of competition, which is not closely related to curriculum teaching, especially basic teaching of architecture. In view of this, the team of basic teaching of architecture in Xi’an University of Architectural Science and Technology takes the new engineering teaching reform opportunities and tries to introduce the workshop teaching mode on the basis of the original space construction teaching method, allowing students to actively participate in the construction of large-scale physical model and understanding the logic of building space generation as well as the role and significance of the technical support behind it for programme completion.
