Abstract:Jiuzhaigou is located in the earthquake-disturbed area which lies on the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet plateau. Since ancient times, earthquakes, landslides, mud-rock flows and other secondary disasters have occurred frequently in this area, posing a great threat to the traditional Tibetan villagers that have lived here for a long time. There are two major symptoms of the current disaster prevention system of villages in China, respectively unclear disaster source and weakly targeted measures, which cannot effectively solve the problem of natural disasters faced by traditional villages. This paper makes a study on the traditional Tibetan villages in Jiuzhaigou, a world heritage site. Based on the theory of preventive protection, the natural disaster risks of traditional Tibetan villages in Jiuzhaigou scenic spot are dynamically monitored and the risk sources are accurately identified. The potential risks faced by traditional villages are predicted and the sources of disasters are identified. Finally, based on the problem-oriented approach, we aim to propose preventive protection methods of traditional villages in world heritage sites with multi-disciplinary knowledge.
