Abstract:Based on the standard post-occupancy evaluation (POE) template of large-scale public building projects approved by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, this article establishes a POE system for building renovation in historic districts considering its characteristics and relative guidelines. It then takes the No. 7 Courtyard of Yinding Bridge Hutong in Shichahai, Beijing as an example to verify this system, assessing this project from five dimensions including site, building, specific design, economy and society. The conclusion proposes suggestions for improvement and provides a reference for similar projects in the future.
