Protection and Development of Vernacular Architecture in the Context of Rural Vitalization: A Review of the 27th Annual Academical Conference of Vernacular Architecture
Abstract：From May 12 to 14, the 27th Annual Academic Conference of Vernacular Architecture was held in Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The theme of the conference is “The protection and development of vernacular architecture in the context of rural revitalization”which contains five sub-issues. Based on the contents of the conference reports, this article analyzes the new development of both traditional and contemporary vernacular architecture research issues, and sums up the innovative exploration of the organization mode of this annual conference. Finally, the article provides a brief outlook of the future academic direction on vernacular architecture research development.
