Research on Landscape Gene Identification and Mapping of Traditional Settlements: A Case Study of Traditional Settlements along Shu Routes in Southern Shaanxi
Abstract：As an important carrier of Shu Route culture, the traditional settlement is an important clue in the study of cultural heritage of Shu Routes. The basic information of traditional settlements along Shu Routes in Southern Shaanxi is analyzed statistically. Based on the landscape gene theory, a landscape gene identification index system including factors of material and intangible culture is established to identify the landscape genes of typical traditional settlements. According to the influence mechanism of traditional settlement landscape gene formation, the principal landscape genes are identified. With graphics, element and meaning methods, the landscape gene prototypes are further extracted. Then the corresponding landscape gene mapping is built, and the main genes of the traditional settlements are expressed in graphic language. The research result is expected to provide scientific basis for the conservation and inheritance of settlements culture.
