Abstract:Due to its characteristics of high density, high floor area ratio, high concentration and high risk factors, urban center has become a high-risk area of disaster. Short-cut space has the characteristics of high efficiency, short distance and cognitive safety. These characteristics meet the users' pursuit of time and efficiency, and can also provide spatial evacuation under special circumstances, which is helpful to improve the resilience of urban space disaster prevention, and meet the requirements of space users to evacuate, transfer and save themselves in disaster. This paper looks at the urban center of Zhengzhou, and research methods, including urban environmental design, space syntax analysis and evacuation simulation, are integrated to study the change of disaster-prevention evacuation ability before and after shortcut optimization. It finds that the establishment and improvement of the shortcut space can effectively shorten the evacuation time and improve the evacuation efficiency, which provides a new research idea and direction for improving the disaster prevention and resistance ability of the urban center.
