Abstract：Since the 1960s, driven by system science and digital technology, architectural design methods have undergone tremendous changes, and they at the same time have also brought about fundamental changes in architectural design paradigms. Among them, digital technology affects the essence of architectural design - the design method with the design process as the core is the main driving force for the evolution and change of architectural design paradigm. Using the paradigm theory of American philosopher of science Kuhn, through the comparative analysis of architectural design concepts, methods, tools, product forms, etc., this evolution process is divided into three stages: manual simulation, parametric generation and artificial intelligence. At the essential level of architectural design, it studies the dynamics, characteristics and influence of paradigm evolution and change, sorts out the development context of digital architectural design, and provides theoretical basis for predicting future architectural design paradigm changes.
