Abstract：With the content of the rural investigation in the past ten years in the exhibition “Countryside, The Future” of Koolhaas, this paper discusses the technological clues running through the transition from the urban to rural research, and analyzes the internal correlation between the world-wide rural development and technological transformation from the aspects of agricultural production, ecological protection, rural social life, and post-human architecture. It analyzes the four types of Chinese rural cases listed by Koolhaas, and reveals the internal driving force of the multiple attributes of modern technology on rural development, as well as Koolhaas’ position and attitude towards rural future development. The interpretation of the technological view in Koolhaas’ rural research results will provide a new research perspective for analyzing generalized rural issues.
