Abstract:Yunnan Damoyu village is a traditional Yi village in the Xishan district of Kunming, with a history of more than 400 years. Since 2015, new villagers have come to the village. Out of the needs of modern rural life, they have chosen to reconstruct local dwellings and integrate various daily life based on the architectural form of local dwellings. This paper looks at the current vernacular dwelling reconstruction activities in Damoyu village, and selects three representative cases to observe and record through field investigation, architectural surveying and other methods. It then analyzes such aspects as construction method, plan layout and spatial operation, interprets its construction ideas, and triggers the thinking of rural construction in the context of urban-rural interaction.
