Residence, Granary and Karaoke Hall: Cognition of the Heritage Value of Modern Vernacular Architecture in Southeast Guangxi from the Perspective of Villagers
Abstract：The Yuyuan Enclosed House is a modern vernacular architecture in the southeast Guangxi. It has gone through many rural land ownership reform stages, such as feudal land private ownership, land reform, unified grain purchase and marketing, and household contract responsibility system. It has important heritage value. This research attempts to re-recognize the heritage value of modern vernacular architecture from the perspective of villagers. Combined with the research methods of oral history, field survey and local chronicles, this paper sorts out and studies the spatial value of the vernacular architecture in the changing times.
