Abstract:China’s steel structure building has now met the historical opportunity of rapid development. In practice, it is necessary to further strengthen the rationality of prefabricated steel structure building design. This paper draws lessons from advanced manufacturing that widely uses design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) concept and method, clarifies the influencing factors in the design of steel structure building for manufacturing and assembling, further analyzes the importance, influence mechanism and hierarchical relationship of the influencing factors,and puts forward the design strategies to deal with different levels of influencing factors in the design stage. It hopes that the research findings can play a positive role in improving the design of prefabricated steel structure building and provide certain reference for other types of prefabricated steel structure building design.
