Abstract:In the digital age, high technology brings people with high emotional demand. It is also true for the built environment. In the existing post-occupancy evaluation (POE) of the built environment, methods focusing on user’s emotional experience are always qualitative instead of quantitative, and also lack framework which could integrate digital tools. Based on the multidimensional interaction between people and the built environment in the digital age, this study introduces the affection evaluation scale in the field of psychology, combining big data approaches and integrating quantitative and qualitative tools to explore the multidimensional affection evaluation methods applicable to the built environment. The evaluation of the High Line Park in New York City serves as an example to initially test the validity of the method
